Synopsis

"Trace 2.0" unfolds in a contemporary South Korea plagued by the sudden emergence of "Troubles," monstrous entities that wreak havoc. In response to this chaos, certain humans, known as "Traces," develop supernatural abilities, becoming the only line of defense against these creatures. However, these empowered individuals are often ostracized and feared by society due to the misuse of their abilities by some. The story picks up after the events of the first season, following Captain Han Si Hyun of the National Investigation Service as he persistently seeks to initiate a research program focused on understanding the Troubles. His efforts are repeatedly rejected, leading him to contemplate conducting his research independently, particularly concerning Kim Yoon-Sung, also known as Mr. Beggar. Amidst the action, comedy, and fantasy elements, a deeper mystery unfolds: what exactly are the Troubles, and what is the true extent of the Traces' powers? Will Han Si Hyun's rogue investigation uncover a truth that could save or further endanger humanity?
