Synopsis

In a ruined city, far removed from civilization, a child named Will is raised by three undead beings: Blood, a skeletal warrior; Mary, a mummified priestess; and Gus, a spectral sorcerer. They teach him combat, magic, religion, and the importance of living a full life, instilling in him love and a sense of responsibility. As Will grows, he grapples with questions of identity and purpose, and the mysteries surrounding his existence in the city of the dead. Embarking on a coming-of-age journey, he uncovers the secrets of his undead family and the world's complex mythology, learning about benevolent and malevolent deities. Themes of reincarnation, family, and the battle between good and evil intertwine as Will strives to become a paladin, upholding justice and protecting the innocent. But destiny has a cruel twist in store, as Will confronts a past that threatens to consume everything he holds dear. Can he truly escape the shadows of those who came before, or is he doomed to repeat their mistakes?.
