Synopsis

For ten years, Hong Su-Rim has been confined, hidden away by the powerful Baek family. Why? He’s suspected to be “Illishine”, a mythical figure said to bring either ruin or salvation to the clan. On his twentieth birthday, the mark of Illishain finally appears on Su-Rim’s body, and his fate is sealed. He is dragged into the cold world of the Baek family, where he’s placed under the control of Baek Woo-kyeong, the aloof and calculating son of the family head. Su-Rim, having endured years of isolation, has no illusions about love or trust—he plans to use Woo-Kyeong to survive and gain some control over his life. But things don’t go as planned. Woo-Kyeong, at first wary and indifferent, begins to feel drawn to Su-Rim’s strange charm and hidden vulnerability. As the two navigate a maze of family politics, supernatural legacy, and growing attraction, their fates become more entangled than either of them expected.
