Synopsis

“If you can’t even control how many friends you have… then you’ve got no future!!” Hayato Makabe, a broke and friendless high schooler, finds his mundane life upended when a mysterious man in a lab coat suddenly appears in his classroom. He distributes strange contact lenses that, once worn, reveal a number floating above each student’s head: their actual number of friends. Then comes the shocking announcement: “In 24 hours, the student with the lowest number… will die.” Thus begins the brutal “Friendship Severance Project,” a secret death game run directly by the government.
